# Shopify import procedure — controlled v0.1.1 test completed

Use an owner-authorized isolated test store only. No production store, paid plan, API key, app installation or customer catalog is needed. Shopify's current setup guide: https://shopify.dev/docs/apps/build/stores/development-stores.

1. Confirm the owner authorized this test store and is signed in. Creating an account or accepting Shopify agreements must be completed by the owner. Do not choose a paid trial or subscription.
2. Read manifest.json; verify the SHA-256 of shopify-test-output.csv. Save the pre-import store product count and confirm that all three csvr-proof-20261018- handles are absent. If they exist, stop rather than overwriting or silently changing the fixture.
3. In Products → Import, select shopify-test-output.csv. Leave overwrite of matching handles OFF and publish-new-products options OFF. Capture the preview privately. Confirm three new simple products, one variant each, no images or inventory work. Cancel if the preview differs or offers unsafe defaults.
4. Import only into this test store. Save the actual result and any error email privately. Success requires three new products and zero unexpected modifications; a preview alone does not pass.
5. Inspect all three products, including the default option, SKU strings 000104 / 000105 / 000106, titles (including the mug's comma), prices 24.00 / 32.50 / 18.00 in the test-store currency, vendor Field & Loom, and absence of online-store publication. Confirm the prefixed handles. Require explicit Status=draft as well as Published=FALSE; the controls are separate. The completed test used the owner’s empty trial store, not a Dev store.
6. Export those products and preserve the original export privately. Compare values against the fixture as text; retain leading zeros. Shopify can normalize price representation; record equivalent values explicitly rather than claiming byte-identical exports. Record any changed headers, importer warnings or account-specific behavior.
7. Record store ID/URL, authorization evidence, importer date, source/output hashes, resulting product IDs, actual counts, screenshots, export hash and reviewer. Mark PASS only after the checks above; otherwise record FAIL with errors and keep the public status unverified.
8. Leave the synthetic products unpublished. Cleanup is a separate owner-authorized action; never permanently delete store data automatically. No customer orders/payments/deliveries are entered for this test.

Shopify documents backward compatibility with older header names. This release emits those legacy names; documented compatibility is not a substitute for the actual test above.

Completed result: shopify-import-verification.json. This checklist remains the procedure for future versions; do not reuse a prior PASS after changing engine or fixture hashes.
