Built for a new catalog with one simple product per row. Structural checks follow a limited set of Shopify CSV rules. A passing result is not a live Shopify import test.

Handle, title, description, vendor, type, tags, publication visibility, explicit product Status, default product options, SKU, barcode, price, and compare-at price. Current equivalent header names are recognized.
Handles, titles, and prices are required by this pilot. SKU files also need the default option columns. Unknown columns stay intact and block export.
Formatting fixes
Supported header spelling and surrounding whitespace. TRUE/FALSE capitalization. Whitespace around handles, prices, and option fields. Empty records. Standard CSV quoting and UTF-8 output.
Needs a different workflow
Existing-product updates, multiple variants, images, inventory, metafields, market prices, XLSX, non-UTF-8 files, and arbitrary supplier layouts. Ambiguous quotes, missing data, and duplicate handles need source edits.

A few practical details.
Do you upload my CSV?
The free checker processes files in browser memory, with no catalog upload API or third-party analytics. Hosting may log ordinary page visits. Clearing the page removes the in-memory file; downloads remain on your device. If you email a sample for paid review, it leaves your browser and enters our review workflow. Read the file privacy terms first.
Will it change products in my store?
No. There is no Shopify connection. Back up your catalog, review the output, and test a few new products first. Leave overwrite off. Do not use this pilot for existing-product updates.
Why would I pay when the checker is free?
The basic checker and supported formatting export are free during the pilot. The $29 offer adds file-specific review, an agreed repair, a handoff report, and one revision. We confirm whether your file fits before taking payment.
Is this affiliated with Shopify?
No. CSV Rescue is an independent pilot. Shopify is a trademark of its owner. Version 0.1.1 passed a controlled three-product Draft import/export in an empty owner-authorized trial store. This is not a customer result or a guarantee for your store. See the exact tested fixture and evidence.
